Hotel de Witte Bergen – House Rules

  1. All instructions given by employees of Hotel de Witte Bergen relating to these house rules must be followed immediately.
  2. At Hotel de Witte Bergen, we treat each other with respect. Insults and discriminatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
  3. At Hotel de Witte Bergen, we treat each other with respect. Sexual harassment of our guests or employees, whether verbal or through gestures, is strictly prohibited.
  4. In order to maintain peace and quiet at Hotel de Witte Bergen, causing excessive noise or any other form of disturbance is not permitted. We operate a one-warning policy. If the warning is not respected, you will be required to leave the hotel immediately.
  5. During your stay, you will make use of property belonging to Hotel de Witte Bergen and third parties. Theft and damage to property are strictly prohibited. Depending on the nature and extent of any damage, the associated costs will be charged to you.
  6. In order to maintain peace, order and safety within Hotel de Witte Bergen, the use of violence or threats of violence is strictly prohibited.
  7. Only registered hotel guests are permitted in the hotel rooms and the hotel. Visitors are not permitted.
  8. Smoking inside the hotel is strictly prohibited. A smoking ban applies throughout the entire hotel. If you smoke in your room, a fine of €200.00 will be charged and you will be required to leave the hotel immediately.
  9. Hotel de Witte Bergen is required to comply with applicable Dutch alcohol and hospitality legislation. Alcoholic beverages will therefore not be served to guests under the age of 18. If there is any doubt regarding a guest’s age, employees of Hotel de Witte Bergen may ask the guest to present valid identification.
  10. Bringing and consuming your own food or beverages in the restaurant or on the terrace of Hotel de Witte Bergen is not permitted.
  11. In order to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all guests, alcoholic beverages will not be served to anyone who appears to be intoxicated.
  12. The possession, use or sale of (soft) drugs, including nitrous oxide (laughing gas), is strictly prohibited.
  13. Hotel de Witte Bergen does not make its premises available for purposes other than those established in our policies. It is therefore prohibited to sell or trade goods, handle stolen goods, or offer services on the premises.
  14. The employees of Hotel de Witte Bergen are committed to ensuring your safety. In the event of an emergency, the hotel’s emergency procedures will come into effect. You are kindly but urgently requested to follow all instructions given by hotel employees.
  15. Please do not leave your personal belongings unattended on the premises of Hotel de Witte Bergen. Hotel de Witte Bergen cannot be held liable for the loss, damage or theft of your personal belongings.
  16. Parking, both in the hotel car park and in the surrounding area of Hotel de Witte Bergen, is entirely at your own risk.
  17. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM.
  18. Check-out is before 12:00 noon. If you wish to extend your stay or book a late check-out, you must request and pay for this before 12:00 noon. Late check-out is available until a maximum of 5:00 PM and is only available for our standard rooms (suites excluded), subject to availability.
  19. Your reservation must be paid in advance unless we are able to place an authorization hold on your credit card as a guarantee. If you do not have a credit card, we kindly ask you to make payment immediately.
  20. Any food or beverages left behind in a room after check-out will be disposed of.
  21. Any toiletries left behind in a room after check-out will be disposed of.
  22. Guests must be at least 18 years old to book a room. The person making the reservation is responsible for all other guests registered under the reservation. For guests under the age of 18, proof must be provided that permission to travel and stay at the hotel has been granted by a parent or legal guardian.
  23. Pets are permitted on a limited basis. Only dogs are allowed, subject to prior consultation with the hotel. Dogs may be added to your reservation for an additional fee when booking one of our hotel rooms with a garden. Dogs are not permitted in any of our other hotel rooms. A maximum of two dogs per hotel room applies.
  24. Lost property will be kept by the hotel for three months, during which time it may be collected. After three months, unclaimed items will be disposed of.
  25. We can arrange for lost items to be shipped to you. Shipping costs will be charged in addition to a handling fee of €15.00.
  26. The fitness room is open 24 hours a day and may be used at your own risk.
  27. For walk-in reservations, reservations made after 8:00 PM, and suite reservations, a security deposit of €150.00 is required.
