VAN DER VALK HISTORY
In 1939 Martien and Rie van der Valk started a restaurant together in Voorschoten. With hard work and a hospitable, homely approach, their own business became a success.
In the years after the Second World War they built a number of restaurants together with their 11 children. In the meantime, the company has been expanded by their grandchildren and great-grandchildren into the largest catering concern in the Netherlands with more than 80 branches in the Netherlands and abroad.
Martien and Rie's vision of hospitality is still the basis of the successful "Van der Valk formula". Their attitude and entrepreneurial spirit is an example for younger generations of "Valken".
