“Zuiderheide”

For the nature lovers, we recommend the “Zuiderheide” trail. This trail takes you 4.6 miles (7.4 km) through the wonderful moorland. The trail takes you past old burials hills from the first people who lived here 5000 years ago. The moorland is now inhabited by herds of cows, deer and various kinds of birds. But most remarkable are the sand drifts, also known as the white mountains, after which our hotel is named. These sand drifts that stand like large dunes in the middle of the landscape were once bigger, but they are still impressive.

Walking around Hilversum
